![]() Think of the Drone Hive as a drone maker. The Drone Hive is the third boss you will fight as you hunt to collect the Essences. When you defeat the Bulbous Protrusion you get the Essence of Mutation. It is hard to really describe what this boss is, but it’s certainly ugly. The second boss you will fight along your galactic quest is the Bulbous Protrusion. Colossus is a giant mech and guards the Essence of Logic. The first boss you fight in Pixel Privateers is Colossus. So what bosses will you be fighting? Below is my Pixel Privateers boss list. Along with being the hardest fights, bosses also drop the highest level of loot (orange). ![]() Bosses are denoted by skulls next to the planet. These items are guarded by bosses which are the hardest encounters in Pixel Privateers. Once you begin to progress into the story you are tasked with collecting 5 Essence items. For those of you who don’t know the game, basically you fly around a galaxy fighting enemies and collecting loot. 3.5 to 4.5 is decent as it keeps the squad close enough that most AoE buffs can cover everyone while they are spread aparty slightly enough a single rocket won't impact the entire formation.I have been playing the new indie game Pixel Privateers and am enjoying all the loot goodness. If you are having trouble keeping your squad together, consider giving them all weapons with similar ranges. Instead of a shield or Assault Frame, give him the Shield Dome to reduce damage to your entire party and to assist with the Engineer's heal bot. Vanguards will not tank very well against groups of elite enemies at the highest difficulties. This will prevent him from drawing aggro while being stuck away from the rest of the party. It'll actually heal much faster than your medics can as it is a constant AoE heal that does not have a cooldown.Ĭonsider giving your Vanguard a short range weapon instead of a melee weapon. If you do need healing, consider using the Healing bot from the engineer. The ability to resurrect is quite simply a lot more powerful and relevant than any amount of healing your medics can do. Defibs are currently a bit broken relative to the other medic tools as there is little to no reason to bring any healing when your squishiest Privateers are likely to get one-shot anyway. Note that Personalized Encouragements does reset the cooldown on tools, including Defibs as well. In Hardcore, your Privateers are lost permanently if you let them die, but defibrilators WILL resurrect them if the medic is close by and can activate the defib quickly enough. Give them damage reduction, armour and as much vitality as you can. You want them as tanky as possible for a medic. The engineer can spam EMP grenades to stun lock cyborgs and Pacifiers as well.Īs for your medics, armour them up and do not worry about their DPS. This will not protect you from all targets, but it will save you from most. Have at least an engineer and use your medics to reset his smoke bomb to cover line of sight at all times. Two medics resetting your party's cooldowns is very powerful. The advice about getting Personalized Encouragements is a good one. I play on hardcore and on Tribulating difficulty (Enemy level +7) exclusively at level 100.ĭefinitely stay on the lower difficulty levels if you are having trouble with the permadeath.
